Karnee

Sonia 'Karnee' Williams (born April 15, 1999) is an American R&B singer-songwriter whose life and music are rooted in a journey of continuous growth and dedication.

Born in Detroit, Michigan—a city synonymous with soul and rhythm—Karnee’s passion for music was cultivated early. In 2009, she relocated to Oklahoma with her father and older brother, carrying the spirit of her musical hometown with her.

Following high school, Karnee pursued formal training, attending Cameron University starting in August 2017 to major in Vocal Music and Performance. This academic rigor honed her technical skills and deepened her artistic discipline.

A year later, in 2018, she wrote her breakout song, "Spent," initially releasing it on SoundCloud. The track served as a vital creative foundation, leading to its official re-release on all major streaming platforms in October 2022. This marked a major professional turning point: the 2022 release was recorded during her first-ever session in a professional studio, an experience of "pure happiness" that infused the track with its signature soulfulness.

Building on the momentum of "Spent," Karnee continued her trajectory with the release of three additional singles in early 2023, solidifying her presence in the R&B space. Her journey is a testament to blending formal training and innate talent with heartfelt, authentic storytelling.
